Scented, blended and flavored tea is any tea that has been processed and then blended or scented with flower petals, herbs, spices or fruit oils. Black and green tisanes are used the most when a scenting agent is introduced.
These brews are not what are referred to as herbal tea since herb and fruit infusions do not contain leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant.
It is this combination of the plant Camellia sinensis and botanical ingredients that make a large variety of unique flavored and scented infusions. So how do you choose a scented tisane from so many? Well, if you stop and think about what is your favorite brew, you'll know where to start.
