Cinnamon Sugar Scones
This delicious cinnamon sugar scones recipe uses our sour cream recipe with a few additions.

Scones Recipe - Cinnamon Sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 º F (175º C) . Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cream of tartar , cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in butter. Mix together the sour cream, egg, and vanilla. Add to the flour mixture until just moistened.
Knead gently on a lightly floured surface about 15 seconds. Roll or pat dough 1/2 to 3/4 inch thickness Cut into wedges, rounds or shapes. Sprinkle tops with brown sugar and cinnamon. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 10-12 scones.
Optional: For extra sweetnes, drizzle a glaze of lemon juice and powdered sugar.
